Direct Scheduling for Video Visits

Jun 9, 2020 | 2020, Access, Digital Health

Social distancing has accelerated the pace of delivering virtual healthcare across the globe—including right here in Northern California, the heart of technology and innovation.

Many Sutter primary care physicians (PCPs)*, including pediatricians, now offer video visits to members through My Health Online (MHO). Video visits are an easy and convenient way for members to access care for most of their needs—from routine care to complex health issues.

A member with a PCP who does not participate in MHO can call their PCP to see if they offer another virtual care option or use MHO to see other Sutter providers for minor health issues, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day.

“We want our members access the care they need to stay healthy,” said Sutter Health Plus CEO Brian Fellner. “Expanding video visit availability across many of our network providers offers members a new way to reach their care teams who know them and understand their health history and goals.”

Members with participating providers will now see a new Video Visit with Your Clinician option when opening Direct Scheduling in the My Health Online mobile app or website. To support members during this time, there is no cost share for video visits for covered services from April 1 through December 31, 2020.

Learn more by visiting sutterhealth.org/myhealthonline/video-visits or contact Member Services, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., at 855-315-5800.
