The opening of California Pacific Medical Center’s (CPMC) new Mission Bernal Campus on Aug. 25 will usher in the next generation of health care to San Francisco.

The new in-network facility, which will soon replace St. Luke’s Hospital, marks an exciting milestone in CPMC’s 150-year history of serving the community.

The Mission Bernal Campus is a seven-story, 120-bed facility occupying 215,000 square feet at Valencia and Cesar Chavez streets. Built to meet the state’s stringent seismic requirements, the new hospital will feature expanded emergency and obstetrics departments and house some of the world’s most advanced technology available in a medical setting.

The new campus also champions sustainable and efficient patient treatment with a LEED Silver certified green design and an abundance of natural light.

Sutter’s commitment to building world-class, sophisticated, acute-care facilities continues next year. When it opens in 2019, San Francisco’s CPMC Van Ness will be a 12-floor, 274-bed hospital covering 990,000 square feet.
