New Program Helps Members Manage Stress

Sutter Health Plus offers a Wellness Coaching Program to help members with weight management and tobacco cessation—all at no cost. Beginning July 1, 2015, we’re excited to add stress management coaching to help members learn how to deal with stressful situations, make time for themselves and much more.

The Wellness Coaching Program combines life coaching with personal accountability as a way of engaging members in effectively managing their health conditions and achieving wellness goals. A member who joins the program works one-on-one with a coach, trained in personal life coaching, to uncover barriers to self-management, link behavior to personal values, and set goals to make healthier lifestyle choices. Participation is easy. Coaching appointments are by telephone and the first call lasts no more than 20 minutes.
