Premium Rates for Group Coverage
Since its launch six years ago, Sutter Health Plus has remained focused on giving our communities health plan options with access to the Sutter network.
As many carriers consider how they price their large and small group products, we want to do our part to keep healthcare affordable—especially as so many businesses in our communities are struggling financially due to the pandemic. Today, we are sharing our small group rates for Q4 2020 and large group rate trends for 2021.
Sutter Health Plus will utilize our Jan. 1, 2020 filed rates for plans effective October through December 2020. The result will be a nominal average increase of 0.9% for small group employers in Northern California.
The 2021 average trend for Sutter Health Plus large group rates for medical and pharmacy benefits continue to be competitively priced at just over 5%. For a quote please contact your Sutter Health Plus Account Executive.
At the outbreak of COVID-19, Sutter Health Plus was one of the first carriers to announce steps that would ensure our members had access to the care they needed. In addition to covering the screening and testing at no cost share, we made the decision to cover COVID-19 treatment at no cost share through September 2020. Additionally, we decided to give members access to telehealth services for all medical and mental health services at no cost share through December 2020. We encourage your clients to experience the difference in telehealth through the lens of an integrated delivery system using Sutter clinicians, the Sutter EHR and My Health Online as an efficient and personal way to access care.
