Sutter Health Plus Year in Review 2014

May 26, 2015 | Access, Affordability

On January 1, 2014, Sutter Health Plus was officially launched to give local communities a new, affordable way to access Sutter Health’s nationally respected, high-quality hospitals, doctors and other health care services. This marked an important step in Sutter Health’s approach to redefine care in Northern California.

“Great partnerships are defined by how well stakeholders understand where they’re going, and how effectively they course-correct along the way,” said Steve Nolte, CEO of Sutter Health Plus. “In 2014, as the health plan began to deliver patients into the system, things began to click and our objective to deliver cost-effective, high-quality services became collaborative and focused.”

Sutter Health Plus has released its inaugural Year in Review for 2014. By the end of year one, the plan provided coverage for 8,300 members and had another 5,200 ready to join in January 2015.

Sutter Health Plus is well-positioned to continue their momentum of growth and opportunity as they expand service areas to provide more communities affordable access to Sutter Health’s high-quality network of doctors and hospitals.
