    Becky Alvarado

    Chief Financial Officer

    Becky Alvarado serves as Chief Financial Officer for Sutter Health Plus. She has responsibility for the health plan’s financial performance and provides strategic leadership, driving short and long-term planning. With 14 years of actuarial experience in commercial and government lines of business, Becky brings a wealth of knowledge to Sutter Health Plus.

    Becky previously served as Actuarial Director at Anthem, Inc., held actuarial leadership roles at Blue Cross of Idaho and Independence Blue Cross, and worked as an actuary for the Division of Insurance at the State of Nevada.

    Becky holds a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

    Peter Bergamo

    Interim Vice President of Operations

    Peter Bergamo serves as interim vice president of operations, responsible for leading strategic growth and operational excellence initiatives, including non-clinical functions operations administration, data and analytics services, and customer engagement at Sutter Health Plus. Peter joined the health plan in 2018 after a successful two-year tenure at Sutter Health as director of system strategy and business development.

    His background includes nearly two decades of implementing strategy and overseeing operations in the healthcare and finance industries. Prior to joining Sutter Health, Peter was a project manager for strategy, affiliations and partnerships with UCLA Health, and manager of healthcare services management consulting practice at PwC in Los Angeles. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics and political science from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.

    Trisha Burgos

    Compliance Officer

    With more than 20 years of experience in the health plan and insurance industry, Trisha has a deep understanding of compliance and health plan operations. Throughout her career she’s held positions at health plans in a variety of departments in addition to compliance, including underwriting, product development, system configuration, sales support, and business analysis.

    As the Sutter Health Plus Compliance Officer, Trisha manages the day-to-day compliance needs of the health plan, assesses the impacts of legislative or regulatory changes, and ensures compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements.

     

    Rob Carnaroli

    Rob Carnaroli

    Vice President of Sales

    Rob Carnaroli serves as vice president of Sales for Sutter Health Plus. Prior to joining the health plan in November 2014, Rob served as Health Net’s Northern California director of sales and Health Net’s Western Region director of major accounts for Arizona, California, Oregon and Washington. As the primary lead for Health Net of California, he managed and coordinated the CalPERS bid, and also built and expanded the company’s participation in private insurance exchanges.

    Since his start at Health Net in 1993, Rob served in a number of positions including business manager, team leader, account executive, project manager and market analyst. His work with a wide-range of employers includes Fortune 500 companies, school districts, municipalities, retirees and union groups. He also has extensive experience with building, negotiation and integrating private healthcare exchanges.

     

    Gretchen Lachance

    Gretchen Lachance

    Assistant General Counsel

    An attorney with over 20 years of legal and legislative experience, Gretchen Lachance has built her career on providing advice and counsel to healthcare organizations. As assistant general counsel for Sutter Health, she is responsible for the legal and regulatory affairs of Sutter Health Plus.

    Prior to joining Sutter Health, Gretchen served as associate general counsel for a large California health plan, vice president of legal and regulatory affairs for the California Association of Health Plans, and as counsel to multiple healthcare organizations while working in several area law firms. Before becoming an attorney, she served as a lobbyist, representing medical groups and other various clients. A graduate of the University of California, Davis, Gretchen earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

     

    Michael Poole

    Michael Poole

    Executive Director of Healthcare Operations

    Michael Poole serves as executive director of healthcare operations, overseeing utilization management, case management, quality improvement, delegation oversight, and pharmacy oversight. For more than 20 years, Michael has served in a number of health plan leadership roles and gained a considerable amount of experience in operations, customer relations, and compliance.

    Prior to transitioning into his current role, Michael served as the health plan’s Compliance Officer creating, maintaining, and maturing the health plan’s Ethics & Compliance Program and providing strong leadership and guidance for the last five years.
